Please help me im desperate.

I have been trying to install windows 7 on this z170-a pro motherboard for about 15 hours but it asks for cd/dvd drivers, I plug my usb 2.0 drive with drivers but it does not recognise any drives in the browser, I tried different iso's, putting the drivers in the windows ISO itslef, disabling sata, usb 3.0 etc. nothing works please help...

Are you plugging the usb flash drive into a USB 3 port? Windows 7 doesn't support USB 3 without you installing a driver first. Try a USB 2 port.

just get a case with a window !/s

 

What happens if you make a bootable drive with rufus and try to boot from it ?

yeah im using a usb 2.0 port for all my devices

I dunno, I just know that when I try and install windows 7 and it asks me for drivers it does not detect any USB drives I plug in to install drivers, the only thing that appears is an x drive which is virtual I think

Hey I keep seeing this issue and I'm sorry but I don't know the solution. There are many threads on here with the same problems so maybe you can find the solution in one of those. Maybe there's a problem with the way you put the installer on the USB drive?

Personally I'd burn a DVD with the installer since that shouldn't have these issues.
