The way you've worded that makes no sense. Correct me if I'm wrong but you're saying option 1 is the 5800K and option 2 is a G530, GTX280 and a 6670.

Well you can't run nVidia cards with Radeon cards at the same time.

What's the actual budget?

i think he meant 3 rigs, 1 with a a10 5800k[apu]

2nd with intel g530 with gtx 280 twin frozr

3rd some random phenom x3[unlockd core] with 6670

Help with what? You don't seem to have included an answerable question. We'll be happy to help you as soon as you explain :)

Please quote me if you want me to see your post about my post, otherwise I may lose track of the thread and never see it.

I'd love to help, but I'm probably gonna' have to ask for more info before we can get anything done.

Have a wonderful day.

Sorry I meant which one is better for gaming. The athlon II x3 450 (turning into quad core) with a HD 6670 or a Celeron G530 with a GTX 280 twin frozr edition or a A10 5800k? I will eventually want to upgrade the CPUs except for the A10 unless AMD releases FM2 chips again.

It ends up the gtx 280 with th x3 is cheaper at tiger direct. Is a gtx 280 better than the 6670?

if i have to pick one, i choose the all in one "A10-5800" alone

(the APU dont ned a GPU, his iGPU is good enough)

(and he is a 4 cores CPU to)

but for you, if you ned pick the most powerful, the "280" is a good card

(like 4 times the A10 more powerful, but "you ned" a 4 cores CPU to)

  • AMD 7850 - 2GB GDDR5 256bits
  • gBANDWIDTH = 170.2 GB/s
  • gSHADERS = 1024 unified
  • gCPUoc = 1050 mhz
  • gMEMoc = 1330 mhz (x4)
  • gPIXELfillrate = 33.6 GP/s
  • gTEXTUREfillrate = 67.2 GT/s

I would say they're just about equal. I don't know too much about older GPUs but the 280 is safe bet.

I have decided to change the G530 with a GTX 260 to a GT 640
the "GTX 260" is a "good" old gamer card, but the GT 640 "is not" a good card

the G530 is just a 2 cores of 2400 mhz (is not a gamer CPU)

i seriously recommend a 4 cores 3000 mhz CPU "minimun"

even is you ned change to AMD

but the important thing is that the GTX 260 is your best choice

Good luck with your build.
