Hi. I am setting up a rig for a web developer. Dude needs to use 3 monitors in extended mode. Budget is tight so I decided to skip the GPU all together and just use the iGPU for the 4460 that is going in the rig.

I read that there should be no problem what so ever with this kind of setup, especially when there will be no gaming involved. The only graphic intensive thing would be Photoshop, and that will be only for measurements of layers.

The mobo I chose was MSI B85M-G43 it has DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort and a VGA out. So plenty to choose from, also a 5.1 sound (a web dev needs his music) and 4 ram slots, something kind of hard to find on budget mobos.

Let me know what you guys think, by skipping on the GPU, I saved enough for a good SSD to put in there.

Edit: I may have put this in the wrong section, if someone would move it to the Workbench/New Builds and Planning, I think it would be better.

I basically use the same setup (albeit integrated into a laptop, the Dell E6440 with i5-4310M CPU) and it works great.  You should be able to hook up 3 displays.  No need for a fancy GPU if you don't game.  I can play back 1080p video on 3 displays simultaneously with my setup no problem.

Try this

They look surprisingly good. They're 1080 IPS monitors designed for professional use. I have 2 of them. You can use a displayport hub to link then, I can't say off the top of my head whether they can be daisy chained.
