So Im going to make my own custom gaming PC, but I was wondering how to install windows 10 on it as my secondary computer is a Mac so the media tool won't work for me when I go on the windows website. Instead it asks me if I want 64bit and then just downloads a file. Am I supposed to put that file on a usb and then on my new PC I select the usb as the boot drive? Will it then lead me to setup Windows? (FYI I'm going to get the cd key from kinguin)

yes. Install it onto a USB, then it should automatically boot from it, it if doesn't, just set it has the main boot device. Then just proceed into the windows installation steps.

Ok perfect and when I download the file do I need to unzip it and then put it on a usb stick or do I just save the original file to the usb and then set the usb as the boot device?

I'm not entirely sure about that. I would say you can unzip it and it would be fine. On my boot USB, all I have is one file called windows that is not zipped. And it installs perfectly fine.

Ok then
