So a friend of mine just bought a brand new PC. We turn it on and we dont get a beep and no output on the monitor.

Fans spin, case lights up and etc.

We noticed a red light that is on under "BIOS A1"

Its a Asrock Fatal1ty Z170 Gaming 4K with a Intel i5 6600K

PSU Seasonic SS-520 GM Bronze

Gigabyte GTX 1060

2x8GB Kingston HyperX

Tried so far:

-CMOS reset, by taking out the battery for 20min

-Plugging the HDMI everywhere possible

-Begging it to work... didnt help at all

This is the first boot...

i would recomend to first see if there are no loose cables/half plugged in cables, if all cables are firmly plugged in, try to take out 1 ramstick and see if you get a post. if still have no post take out the gpu and see if you get a post with the onboard graphics.  also does the pc keep restarting(bootloop) or does it stay idling without turning off again

Removed the GPU and it worked.... now its without a GPU and seems to work fine

In most cases, the GPU should work with just whatever generic drivers the OS has, though at a limited resolution at first. I'd try reseating the card just in case, and if it doesn't work, it's possible there may be something wrong with either your card, motherboard, or power supply (hopefully not either!).

Forgot to mention that this is a PC without a OS... Drivers cannot be a problem.

Nevermind we solved it. Without the GPU we were able to post, so we changed the priority to onboard graphics in the bios and after a OS install we updated the BIOS. Everything works now.

The motherboard didn't like the GPU. Bedore we updated the bios, when the hdmi was plugged in the GPU, we would get a image on screen when windows was loaded.
