CrossFire not working. Second card 'Disabled' in AMD settings?

SGM

Why is my second card showing as 'Disabled' in Radeon Settings and how do I 'Enable' it again?

I only noticed after I couldn't get CrossFire to work in any of my games (incl. ones I know it works on).

I'm using dual Sapphire R9 290Xs with the latest drivers. Haven't been playing games for a while so I don't know how long it's been an issue for.

Edit: I think I've found the issue. CrossFire was set as 'off' in the global gaming settings. I've never changed this so what did?

Another reason I'm going green next time, lol.

It was disabled, for some reason. It uses PCI for CrossFire communication.

I used to have this problem when running a board with one pci-e 3.0 slot and one pci-e 2.0 slot.
