Removing preinstalled verticle disk drive

Recently I purchased an "hp envy 750-287c" In order to have a high end possessor and all the requirements to fit my needs. I did however plan on moving my old graphics card (strix 970) and a new power supply into it the only problem is the vertically mounted disk drive is about half an inch too long to put in the graphics card. If anybody could help by offering an easy solution to my problem it would be much appreciated.

Do you know your PC is upside down? Just checking.

Is it the hard drive cage that's in your way? It's not entirely clear.

I edit my posts a lot.

hp puts a lot of their motherboards on the other side of the case making it look upside down.

The hard drive cage is not in my way it is the disk drive (the green rubber looking part) directly above it.
