about 20-30% from the lack of hardware-based A-sync support. Basically, if a 380 gets 60fps, the 960 would get 40-45fps under DX12/Vulkan. While the 960 DOES support DX12, it does so only on a software level and thus the features that improve performance are lost

Depends on the game.

But the 380 is already 15% faster and under DX12 the difference is quite a bit larger

You will, but you'd be better with the 380 others suggest. You'd get 45+ fps for a longer time.

Look for a r9 280 or any GCN card, if nothing is in your price range just get the 960 and be done with this.

Yeah i might get the 960 the manager is willing to give me a discount on a new PSU if i buy the 960.
