Hi guys :) I need some help on what to do/choose. Before I go any further.... the GPU in this upcoming build will be an EVGA FTW ACX 3.0 GTX 1080 most likely.

So whilst I'm still deciding on a PC / Build List to get a idea of the Total Cost, I hope to buy this in a few months leading up towards 2017 and well, I still need some monitors as you can probably tell. At the moment I'm thinking about getting this: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/kWHdm8 but there's a possible problem. The monitors might take up too much space on my desk might take up a lot of space on my desk. I don't know if this would be correct for sure but would still be a lot of space taken up. I mean like, 3x 27" monitors might fit on my desk but I really don't know. It's hard to tell.

So what I'm thinking of getting is either:

  • 3x 24" (The middle one being one insanely similar to the Acer XB270HU, any recommendations?)
  • OR......
  • 2x [WhateverSize]" IPS (Left and Right) monitors and a LG 29UM68 UltraWide monitor in the middle
    • If I did this option, could the Left and Right monitors PLEASE be the same exact >HEIGHT< as the LG Monitor.... PLEASE. I don't want one size and then another size making it unequal.
    • I know the LG Monitor has FreeSync and that my GPU is more than likely a GTX 1080 but unless you can find me an UltraWide monitor that isn't close to £1,000 with G-Sync then, good luck because I can't find one that's cheaper.

Also.... please could the monitors be mountable so I can fit all 3 monitors onto a monitor arm stand. If anyone knows of a stand that would very appreciative!

Thanks!

A 21:9 would be great in the middle, make sure all monitors are curved or it will definitely look funky wunky chunky, honey. I'll look for a 3mon stand, i know of a company and i'll check back with you in 20 mins.

Ok cool. Also for that option:

EDIT: If you know of any 21:9 curved monitors that are insanely similar to the one I mentioned, please do suggest :D

most stands and monitors use vesa 100, so dont worry. Unless you're buying some monitor brand name that has 20 letters and a mount brand that has 48, dont worry and dont give a shit. On the topic of monitors to buy, check out some of Linus' review of a LG Ultrawide. The one he reviews, you should get.

Oh yeah, I know which ones you mean. Ones like the LG34UC97 and LGUM67. I mean like, the curved ones are nice but they are a bit expensive.... how come I should get curved monitors by the way?

I don't need a 3x Curved monitor setup, just a triple monitor setup that will give really good quality and is affordable. Oh and like I said, the middle monitor needs to be good enough for Gaming and the other two which have IPS.

Go all curve or no curve. Curve is immersive, very nice, but I'd suggest three flat panel 21:9s and that mount I listed.

@WSADKeysGaming, Yeah........ about that.

3x34" (Either monitor) is way too big and would not fit on my desk or probably a monitor arm stand.

Also, the pricing for either of 3x monitor:

  • 3x £698.99 (LG34UC97 = Overclockers UK price) = £2096.97
  • 3x £609.99 (LG34UM67 = Newegg UK's price) = £1829.97
