The 212 EVO is actually pretty narrow. As long as you don't want push-pull then you can put the fan on the left side and you'll be fine on the right side with higher RAM.

In this build I was wondering if the the cooler would come in the way of this ram as it is kind of high profile ram.

Ok, would mounting it in a different orientation affect performance?
