The 212 EVO is actually pretty narrow. As long as you don't want push-pull then you can put the fan on the left side and you'll be fine on the right side with higher RAM.

In this build I was wondering if the the cooler would come in the way of this ram as it is kind of high profile ram.

the hyper 212 can be mounted in different rotations so it should be ok but if not send it back saying it doesn't work with your hardware :)

Ok, would mounting it in a different orientation affect performance?
