I built a Frankenstein PC maybe a year and have been using it ever since. I got most of the parts from a HP Envy 1549. It has a 460 watt PSU, an EVGA 750ti, a 4tb WD green, 240gb pny ssd, and 12 GB of RAM. Everything works great but about a month ago it started failing to boot and I was getting mb error beeps of 5 or 6. I reset the ram and unplugged the GPU, nothing helped. Until I turned on my monitor(HP envy 32), when I turned on my monitor everything started fine. So I did an experiment, turned off both and then tried to turn my  PC. I got error beeps, but when my monitor is already on it starts fine. Has anyone every encountered this? I can't figure out why is makes a difference.
