cant enter BIOS?

so i recently built my first computer and i love it even got windows 10 but i cant enter the bios i need help (gigabyte z97x-sli rev1.2) i have even tried to enter through windows and installed my chipset drivers but all that i can get is a black screen with a mouse

Shut your machine down, as soon as you turn it on start mashing the Delete key, not the backspace key, the Delete key. This is how you will enter your BIOS.

black screen also i entered the bios when i first built it i used the f12 key

Do you not see your Gigabyte splash screen when booting?

i see that then when i press the f keys all i get is a black screen with a mouse

It will tell you which key you need to press. If you are getting just a black screen with a mouse, it seems like you are getting into the BIOS. Try using a different video output on your monitor/gpu to see if you get a display.

it has worked before but not on this monitor so im going to check will keep posted

Yea, thats what was seeming to me was a monitor issue. So you put a different monitor on and all good now?
