So I am planning on buying a Playstation 4 when it gets released. I also am planning on using my 24" monitor with it. My monitor only has a DVI port (which I can get a hdmi to DVI adapter for). It seems as if there are no analogue output options with the PS4, so how can I get sound to work with a headset of sorts? I know there are USB ports on the PS4, but if the sound output options are anything like the PS3's then I won't be able to use USB for headphones. Any ideas?

You can get a Sound Blaster Z which gives an SPDIF input to the PS4's SDPIF output. There may be other options, but that's the first one that popped in my mind.

I might have to get that. I don't really want to spend $100 on something like that, but that's probably the easiest option. I ideally don't want to have to use my TV in the basement  :/

Yeah. Maybe someone can give an option that doesn't cost that much.

I am planning to use Fiio E17 for my 3.5mm audio devices.

Pardon my English. Not my native language.

It'd be cheaper to go with the Sound Blaster Z - at least on Amazon.

With the composite cables you need an composite to Aux converter, then plug it into speakers, Computer speakers work. It's the same thing as the ps3, if the ps4 has composite cables

Yes. It would work, but you'll want to get the Z with the shroud on it(if you do get the Z). This will prevent any EMI from getting into the audio signal.

Ok thanks! I decided to wait and upgrade my computer after the New Years some time, allowing for my budget to grow significantly :)
