hi all i have a bit of a problem im new to the forum and im trying to build my first gaming rig i currently have a

 

gigabyte F2A68HM-H motherboard

AMD Athlon x4 854 cpu

8gb of ddr3 ram

700w alpine psu

asus hd7770 2gb gpu

 

and my problem is when i breadboard my setup it runs with nothing on screen ither through onboard vga,hdmi or pci gpu i dont understand it i know my gpu is working because its been running on my old system for a few months without a problem thanks in advance

Reseat all components, make sure everything is where it should be, give it another go. If that doesn't work, take the GPU out, switch a RAM module around or try with 1 stick of RAM and see what happens.

Did you try the other stick of ram?  Just asking because I was having the same problem with my computer, where everything would run but there would be no POST.  I tried one stick and each slot and then forgot about it, but after hours of trying different psu's, adapters, onboard graphics, monitors, and video cards I finally tried the other stick of ram and viola, i got my picture back and my faulty stick is on the way back to crucial now. Once i pulled my video card completely I saw the RAM debug led lit.

Damn, well it was just a thought.  Do you have a speaker hooked up to the mobo for beep codes? not back panel speakers, but case speaker?  The beep codes are here
