SATA Cable Recomendations

Go to solution Solved by Lehti,

I prefer those with a metal clip. I've had a few cables disconnect a couple times, and now clips are a no-brainer for me. I've seen a 5-pack sold on Amazon and they were quite good, although a bit on the short side (45 cm instead of 50).

Hi, I am gonna get an ssd and i dont have another sata data cable due to my dvd drive (my mobo only came with 2) Any recommendations for a reliable one

Things to look for

SATA 3

6gb/s

MUST BE ON AMAZON

Ok that pretty much sums it up

There all the same, get a cheap one.

Linus said in an old video from 2012 that they do die and they do impact performance just a bit

They don't affect performance in that test, replace it when it failes(very unlikey)

Honestly just pick the cheapest ones you can find with the metal clips to hold them in place. You could also get some in any color you want, I have some that compliment my color scheme in my pc.
