I took out the Hard Drive cage to install new fans then lost the cage. I gave the PC somone to build for me as I was busy. They contacted me telling me there is no where to put the HDD + SSD besides the cage. I suggested velcroing it. They said the vibrations would damage the drives. Is this true? If so, without getting a new cage, where should I put them.

That may damage hard drives but SSDs can be dropped and be fine so it shouldn't damage it. Why can't the drive cages be used.

Would Velcroing both to the optical drive slots work?

Why not get a 3.5-5.25 inch converter so you can put both in the optical drive slots? It's unconventional, but should work for the HDD, and with another 2.5-3.5 adapter you could put the SSD in too.

Do this ^^^
