No. DVI I supports analog connections, so the conversion is a simple one. The gpu almost certainly includes an adapter.

DVI d won't work, but the Rx 480 has dvi I ports and an adapter. 

 

Edit- just remembered the rx 480 doesn't have dvi Ports, but there is display ports to vga which will work fine.
