Need Some Help

BagPipeBoy

My computer has been acting up lately, and so i decided to factory reset my computer. Everything went well except for at the end when it get me a message saying "Failed to Reset Computer" or something along those lines. Then it gave me a phew options, such as, troubleshoot, Start Normally, Turn off PC, and a couple others. I picked Start Normally, and all of the sudden my computer turned off and on, and then it continued to turn on, show my monitor logo (which it usually does upon startup) dim the screen, and turn off. It is still doing this and it keeps repeating. I have tried turning off and on my PC, powering it off with my power supply, and also leaving it turned off for 1 hour and nothing has worked, please help.

If windows is the problem, you can't.

to find out unplug your HDD and any other storage Device.

if that fixes it or is says something like "no boot device found" it's 'just' Windows.

You could check the Boot devices. Is your HDD detected correctly and first Boot Device? other from that it's great you got into Cmos. so your hardware is mostlikely OK.

you can load optimized defaults. this also fixes a lot of errors. but you have to do the Test:

usually its an option at the main page.

Just select it (and press enter/click), click yes on the "Confirm and exit" dialoge and then let it reboot.

Do you need to recover any files from the computer? if so clone the hd and then format it and reinstall windows (make sure you have your product key) If you do not want to do this there are other options

The only one i can think of right now is making a bootable usb using windows media creation tool and running the troubleshooting process to fix errors Ie chkdsk sfc startup repair.

you can also format (wipe) your windows drive to do a clean install
