Problems with Razer Ouroboros

MikkoP

I just bought a new mouse, Razer Ouroboros. It's a great mouse but I have some problems with it.

Sometimes it freezes, cursor doesn't move. These freezings are very short, maybe a tenth of a second but I see how the cursor stops even I move the mouse. These freezings happen actually very often.

Yesterday when I started my PC, it had very high DPI. It took a minute or two and then the DPI got back to the 2100 which I have set it to.

Today I wasn't able to use it wirelessly after I started my computer. I plugged the cable in and after a few seconds it started working with the wire. No, the battery wasn't empty, it's full.

Sometimes it seems I'm not able to click: I move my cursor over something and press the left mouse button but nothing happens. It could be that I misclicked or didn't actually press the button correctly, but it doesn't sound like a very conciderable reason because I had no issues like this with my Performance Mouse MX.

Are these problems with the Razer Synapse program or with the mouse? These DPI changes and not being able to use it wirelessly seem like there was something wrong with Synapse, but freezing and clicking problems seem wierd.

Also, I have positioned the receiver just in front of my mouse, not under the table ten meters away.

Does the mouse have a clear line of sight to the dongle?

Around 32:00 guessing that is what you are experiencing when moving the mouse, its apparently a driver issue.

lol this is a known problem for the product. It was much worse when it was first released and now it's not so bad. This happens when you change the DPI and I don't know when Razer is going to address this problem. If you don't like it i suggest you return it under the customer satisfaction policy (if your store has one)

I'll give it a try, and if it continues not working, I'll make sure to get a new one if it's broken for sure.

Yesterday I thought if the old Logitech SetPoint software for the Logitech mouse could have something to do with the problems. I removed it, and I've been using my mouse for 1,5 days without it and it seems none of those problems exist any more. But lets see, I'll wait until next week.
