I will try to spray the bottom off with compressed air. The pad was likely still wet when I attempted to use it again, but this has been going on months, so the pad is certainly dry by now.

i think your best bet is to spray it with some compressed air, it should be fixed, otherwise i'd change mouspad of the mouse.

Mouse I have: Razer Naga (original)

Mousepad I have: Razer Goliathus Control (desk wide version)

I was noticing some traction problems so in an effort to improve this, I wiped down my mouse pad and mouse with a damp cloth.  I feel like ever since then I have had problems with my mouse tracking in that sometimes it just gets "stuck" on an axis, and either I can only scroll up and down (stuck on the x axis) or side to side (stuck on the Y axis) and I have to shake my mouse around a fair bit in order to restore proper function.  Any ideas? I've tried updating the drivers and have reconnected the mouse multiple times.

Been considering the Scimitar for awhile now, is it time to just bite the bullet and switch over?

Dirt is often embedded into the mousepad and would require a sponge or a brush to properly clean it (even if the pad looks clean from a wiping).

Patchy dirt areas also have caused some tracking issues for me.

To update you guys, and make myself feel like an idiot, the compressed air seems to have worked.  My mouse has not gotten stuck since I sprayed down the bottom of it.  I feel slightly silly. Thanks!
