Hi,

So my friend has built his own computer and now he installed my cooler to the computer. We had to take the motherboard out carefully and also take the ram off.

After the cooler change was done, i think he failed to put the wires to the wrong slots. My cooler wont turn off, and so wont my CPU. ONLY my GPU lights turn on, but the coolers or the GPU itself wont.

Are you able to add photos with more light? It's hard to tell what's going on. (More light will reduce blur)

I just realised you have a very similar board to me. I have the M5A97 R2.0 (not LE)

Are you saying the cooler won't turn on? So no fans spinning at all except GPU?

I edit my posts a lot.

So are the two clips highlighted in red here plugged in fully? (You can't pull them out without undoing the clip?)

And are the fans plugged in to the slots highlighted in blue? (In this image my CPU fan is plugged in the wrong place - it should be the one labelled at the top)

This is a pretty bad image, I'll get a proper one if you need it.

Could the cooler affect that it isnt turning on? Or is it a problem in the CPU power cable? Or could the motherboard be broken?

To me it just sounds like it's not turning on. The power LED is lit and everything seems to be plugged in correctly. If you take the power cable off the pins then use something metal and touch both pins it was connected to, it should turn on with no problems.

If that doesn't work, try taking the reset connector off entirely and try reconnecting and pressing the power button. (Maybe the reset button is shorted?)

Nothing besides the mobo and gpu lights

I'm really not sure then, sorry.

I certainly sounds like a fault with the power on switch, so maybe contact Asus and your PSU manufacturer about this.

Perhaps it's worth trying a different PSU.
