Any news on kabylake release?

I heard it would be sometime next year, probably Q2.

Apparently they have started shipping to OEMs so a release is likely this Autumn. Nothing that special compared to Skylake, it's only supposed to be a optimization of Skylake so there will be very little difference.

They were talking Q3/Q4 this year werent they? Im hoping soon rather than later. Getting anxious to upgrade. Might just settle for skylake.

Yea, the 200 series boards will be releasing with them aswell. Unsure if skylake runs on the 200 boards.

How is it settling?  Skylake is fantastic, and it's ALREADY out, you won't have to wait potentially months to get your PC.

 

As we all know, new CPU products aren't giant leaps and bounds ahead of the previous architecture.

Your right, looked it up and that was an old rumor that they would release next year. I would wait until release and buy Skylake with price drops, as it is still very current and I personally doubt that Kabylake would be that much faster as Intel havent really innovated with Skylake compared with Haswell.

The IMC is much better on Skylake, and it runs much cooler and has a higher voltage tolerance, and simpler overclocking as well as more PCI-E PCH lanes.  Performance wise it may not be a big difference, but feature wise it's much better IMO.

I just feel like i shud wait to upgrade as when its released ill be envious of ppl using kaby over skylake knowing i could have waiting alil longer for it. Really hope its soon.
