first build with some "problems"

so i just finished building my first pc not 5 min ago, it posted but there are some hardware problems, my first problem was getting on the hyper 212, after 20ish minutes i just used the stock cooler, also after putting in the I/o shield and then my mobo i couldn't get to the standoff holes to screw in my mobo but it was very secured, i tried to take it out but it would not budge and i didnt want to break it, any help

specs i7 4790k, case: corsair spec-01, motherboard: gigabyte z97x-sli, psu: evga 550w, hdd: wd blue 1tb, ram: 8gb crucial ballistic
