32-bit Windows 10 on 64-bit processor

My dad accidentally installed the 32-bit version of Windows 10 on a laptop with a 64-bit processor (Intel I3 330M).

 

To my surprise it seemed to work just fine. However it got me thinking, what would be the performance impact?

 

I  did not have time to run any benchmarks and I am not sure which would ones would actually produce results in this scenario anyway.

 

Any ideas?

Well for one you can't have more than 4GB of ram.

In my experience 32 bit processes use less RAM than 64bit processes but the amount is only about 1-2% higher so it's not worth it for the ability to use more than 3.5GB of RAM.

Only real issue will be RAM, 32bit can not utilize more than 4gb of RAM. Unless thats an issue, i say just run with it...

I'm not sure, but I think 32bit can't utilize more than 2 cores. Can be wrong about that.
