Hey guys,

I'm planning on re-purposing my old hard drives into a Plex server. To do this I'm going to use a raspberry pi 3. The server is going to be mainly used for music(flac) but also a few movies. How many clients do you think the new pi can trans-code to at the same time. I am hoping at least 2.

Thanks!

Looking at the specs for the Pi 3, for music I'd be willing to bet you could trans code to at least 3 or 4 clients, but with movies I'd say 2 is definitely the highest. That's an awesome idea you've got though, it'd be cool to see what it looks like once you've done it.

Cool! I didn't plan on keeping this post updated but I guess if people are interested I will!
