sound help PLEASEE!!!!

so i use an avermedia game cap thiny. so i can play my sound through the computer from a console (it sounds better like this) so today i got on to do some GTA 5 and i cant hear the sound. i go on volume mixer. the avermedia app. just mutes itself. so when i unmute it that green bar goes up like its playing sound. like windows thinks its playing sound. but the speakers dont output it. i went on sound manger and all that and updated all drivers, also restarted my PC and all others apps work with sound. i can watch a youtube vid fine. 

 

so can anyone help me

Space Journal #1: So Apparently i  was dropped on the moon like i'm a mars rover, in a matter of hours i have found the transformers on the dark side of the moon. Turns out its not that dark since dem robots are filled with lights, i waved hi to the Russians on the space station, turns out all those stories about space finding humans instead of the other way around is true(soviet Russia joke). They threw me some Heineken beer and I've been sitting staring at the people of this forum and earth since.

Right click the volume icon in the taskbar and go to "Playback Devices" from there, right click on the device you want to use and set it as the default device. See if that helps.

the default is all good. its set to the speakers as it outputs thats how i hear. through my speakers

Hmm. If the capture card is just used as a pass-through to your speakers, then it would have to be a setting in the Avermedia software. Unfortunately I'm not familiar with it, so I won't be of any help. :/

Hmm. If the capture card is just used as a pass-through to your speakers, then it would have to be a setting in the Avermedia software. Unfortunately I'm not familiar with it, so I won't be of any help. :/

thanks for your time though. the capture software is a piece of cake though. its like hooking a console up to a tv. jus gotta open the application on a PC.
