When you say "broken screen", you are talking about the back Flip out LCD screen?  Where are you going to get the replacement screen?  Do you know how to take the camera apart and put it together again?

I don't doubt that you might have the technical know how, but I have taken some of my DSLRs apart before to modify them to be IR cameras... not an easy thing to do.

I don't think 100 AUD is worth it.

Buy a new camera.  This way, you will also get manufacturer's warranty.

How much can you afford, you might be able to get a better condition second hand DSLR.  I would rather buy a second hand camera that is working than one I need to service.

If you buy that GH1, and even if you know how to fix the screen (assuming you have the spare parts for it), there is a risk that you might accidentally cause other damage.  The cables and connectors inside the camera are tightly packed together.  You could be losing your money for nothing.

@Dredgy, do you know any second hand camera stores in Australia?

@ALwin I do not. There are used sections at most camera stores, but they are not worth it. You can try http://www.cameramarket.com.au

If I need to buy used I use classifieds sites. Which is great, but 80 bucks is a very low amount to get a working camera with a specific lens mount and 1080p video. I have a Canon EOS 550D body that I'd be willing to sell for $130ish though :P

Oh yes, of course. I'll just have to make sure everything works. I haven't used it in a long while.

Since this would be my first DSLR, what cheap lenses would be good for filming?

Depends what you're filming and your budget. A Canon 50mm F1.8 is the most popular choice because it's so cheap and good quality, but since the 550D is a small sensor, 50mm tends to be too long for most of my shooting, so I'd use either a 40mm or a 24mm pancake lens if I was on a tight budget.

For my shooting I use a collection, but none of them are cheap. I have the 40mm pancake lens and do use it fairly often. Though I use one of my three cine lenses for most of my filming.

Thanks for helping out.  I only know of the Swiss market for used camera gear.  Other countries, I can only assume that various camera stores will have a used section but I do not know the online classified sites of every country.
