So just like the title said, the mouse in question is out of warranty and is a CM storm spawn. I new one would cost me around 40 bucks so if I can get this one fixed I'd like to. However I have no idea where to even start. And yes it does this on every pc/laptop in the house. (around 6)

The mouse wheel (and now rarely the left click button) pushed twice when pressed only once. And when scrolling down webpages using the scroll wheel it scrolls down the jumps up a few lines very very often. Doesn't do it when scrolling up much though.

Well, I did as requested and opened it up again, this time I have been playing around with it and the clicks (middle, left, right) are working properly (Don't know if its permanent but we'll see)

However the scrolling is still wonky. Not really sure where to go from here as I cleaned the wheel and the thing the wheel hooks into on the PCB so it knows its spinning.

Uhm.. Any ideas?

For pressing middle button, micro switch is gone, you can't fix it (at least not easily). You can try to use mechanism from some older mouse, but that is not simple change...

Unfortunately, you will need to get new mouse.

The actual switches that this mouse uses are just generic omron switches. These ones to be precise: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-20pcs-Micro-Switch-Microswitch-For-Logitech-APPLE-Mouse-OMRON-D2FC-F-7N-/331041167939

But I think I fixed the clicking problem atleast for now. The one last problem I am having is with the actual scrolling of the wheel. It seems to be jumpy.

I don't really know how to fix that because I don't really understand how it detects wheel movement and such.

Had this problem on my Logitech g9 (only the left click)  after 5 or so years.  I just bought a new mouse.

Why is everyone posting things that aren't actually helpful? I mean I appreciate the bump but...

My appologies, I was trying to say it's not worth fixing. Unless you can put something between the mouse button and the button underneath it (to put more pressure on the clicker) then you won't fix it. Even something like that probably won't work.

That doesn't really make sense. All that would do is lower the actuation depth, if theres a problem with the switch (as is quite normal with an issue with this) such as the contacts getting dirty or the spring getting loose you can either fix that manually or solder on a new switch. Which in my case with these switches is only 3 to 4 solder points and is extremely easy.

I've had to do a lot of research...

You can solder new switch, or change whole mechanism, but I'm telling you that it is not as simple as you think it is, there is much more that can go wrong while doing so, that will most likely result in completely useless mouse at the end if you don't know how to do it, and you didn't did that before. When you open the mouse, it is pretty much self-explanatory, since it is a very simple device, if you opened the mouse, most likely you will know how it works, but anyway, just in case there is a link above.

Good luck, and if your fixing don't end up well, 3$ USB mouse can do the trick.
