So currently my setup has :

AMD FX 4300 ( not overclocked )

8 GIGS OF DDR3 RAM

ZOTAC NVIDIA GTX 650TI synergy edition 2gb gddr5

600W Cooler master thunder psu

So i am planning to buy a 144hz monitor for my pc and i mainly play CSGO so currently getting 150-200 fps with this setup

I am planning to upgrade to MSI GTX 960 4G EDITION with a 144hz monitor.

Is it a good investment? like will i get good fps and will the 144hz monitor run smoothly? Need help

Get the 1060 if you can - slightly more expensive, but it offers more than 2 times the performance of a GTX 960, and probably even more than 3 times the performance of a 650Ti...

It can also offer you entry into the 1440p band-wagon. A 1060 can offer more than 100 FPS in 1440p I believe, as you can achieve 150+ FPS in 1080p (am I correct?) with a 650 Ti.

Nothing to see here ;)

with 4300 youll prob only get good fps for 144hz in csgo, just go with 60hz monitor if you are planning to play other games.

@Anand_Geforce will 1060 botttleneck or have any performance issue with fx 4300?

I think YES. The FX 4300 was once the best CPU for its money, but it's now totally obsolete. If you really want AMD CPUs, you might as well go with the FX-8370 - as it just released a few months back. Almost all the rest of AMD FX-Series CPUs are now obsolete, and unless they are massively overclocked, they'll surely bottle-neck the GTX 1060 (and probably the 960 too).

I personally suggest Intel though, if you are fine with spending a little more. I believe the i5-6500, i5-6600, or the i5-6600K may be the perfect choices for you - Yes they are much more expensive than even the FX-8370, but you definitely get what you pay for - amazing performance, good temps, etc.

Nothing to see here ;)
