Hi all just another beginner overclocker that needs your help. I’m also a first time poster.

So my question is once I have dialed in my overclock and changed it to Adaptive mode, isn't it meant to automatically drop my volts and frequency when im not using it? Because at the moment my voltage and frequency is not changing.

Can you advise me on what to do or clarify my understanding.

I’m using a Maximus vi formula with a i7 4770k

My overclock at this moment is

               4.5ghz  at 1.25v

               Cache is 4.3 at 1.23v

                                               Ram at 2133 (XMP) 1.5v

                                               Vccin at 1.9v

Everything else is set to auto from memory.

Ok so now i feel a little silly, after delaying this post for months because i couldnt figure it out and the day i post this i found the issue.

It was to do with my Samsung magic utility software for my SSD, it set my windows power setting to its own setting which kept it in a performance like state.

After changing it back to a balance setting my volts dropped down to .0700v and 800mhz like it should. Heaps better then always running at 1.25v at 4.5ghz.
