Hello to the awesome community.  I'm in need some guidance regarding overclocking for beginners.

I just built my rig with an i5-6600K, MSI z170a SLI Plus, and 16GB Ripjaws 5 2400 (XMP to 3000)

I've done my due diligence and read and researched a lot of overclocking guides (one being the haswell guide here by Prokon even though it isn't Skylake).  I thought I was prepared but to my surprise there's still a TON of motherboard settings related to overclocking that are not covered in the majority of the stuff I've seen.  Currently my plan just a multiplier and vcore overclocking that is 24/7 stable @ 4.4-4.5 GHZ that powers down on idle but goes full performance on load.

My concern is what BIOS settings should be enabled/disabled/auto on my journey to usual overclocking flowchart (up multiplier, stress test, up vcore repeat)

Right now my settings are as follows BEFORE stress testing (I'm planning to use the modified x264) :

Spoiler

CPU Ratio Mode (Fixed, Dynamic)

Ring Ratio (Auto)

EIST (Enabled, Disabled)

Enhanced Turbo (Auto, Enabled, Disabled)

CPU Loadline Calibration Control (Auto, Mode1)

XMP Profile (Enabled, Disabled)

CPU Core/GT Voltage Mode (Auto, Adaptive, Override, Offset, Adaptive + Offset, Override + Offset)

Limit CPUID Max (Enabled, Disabled)

Intel C-State (Auto, Enabled, Disabled)

C1E Support (Enabled, Disabled)

Package C-State Limit (Auto,C0, 2, 3, 6, 7, 7s, 8)

Please educate my if I have something wrong.  And also what settings to apply again when I find my stable overclock

Thanks a lot for your time
