gtx 1080 memory speed issue

Hi Guys,

 

Really need some help, don't know if this is a driver glitch or my 1080 that i just installed 5 minutes ago is facked ... so randomly my memory clock stays at 405mhz and won't move at all, as a result everything is terrible, anyone had similar issues?

How are you getting the memory speed reading?

Try the reading in game, if you haven't already.

MSI afterburner, it is also massively affecting FPS though so id say it is reading right

OK, then yeah I would re install the card and if that doesn't solve the issue then you might want to look into RMA.

ok think i found the freaking issue, bare with me while i go outside to set a pci riser on fire .....

 

EDIT: after much testing, yup that was exactly the issue
