Hey guys. Everytime I boot my PC up this menu appears. It stays like that for about 3 - 5 seconds before continuing on with the boot up. So basically it defeats the purpose of my SSD for fast boot times lol. This menu started appearing after I installed my 250 GB SSD and 1 TB HDD. At first my OS was in the Fujitsu drive then I formatted it and installed the OS on the SSD. Any idea how I can get rid of this screen? I don't want to fiddle around the bios settings cause i'm not yet very familiar with the options there.

Thanks guys.

Check your SATA controller settings in the BIOS. That menu should only appear if it's set to RAID, AFAIK.

Yes it says raid on it. I remember changing it to AHCI (I think?) but then it didn't boot, it says no boot drive or something like that.

You may have to change the controller to AHCI, then reinstall Windows to get the boot drive working.

The SATA controller being set to RAID is why that screen shows, though. It's the RAID controller initialising.

Oh i see. Do I need to format my other drives as well or just the boot drive?

I would suggest unplugging the drives other than the OS drive before changing the controller settings. Back up any data you need to keep, then try with the controller set to AHCI. If you're lucky, the system will just work. If not, you can try reformatting the OS drive.

I wouldn't format your other drives until you've got the OS working so you can test if the other drives work as they are.

Thank you so much for the quick replies. I will try it out later when I get home. :D
