No Internet loop on Win7

Hey guys! Reinstalled Windows 7 today and I'm in a bit of a loop; you see, when you normally login it will connect to the internet. Well on this occasion it didn't and started telling me I need to install my network card drivers but to do so I need to go online and download them but I can't because of no internet because of the drivers? Any ideas?

you got a phone or a second pc? use that.. in case of the phone just download the drivers and then mount your phone move the downloaded file (usually in downloads on android) and then install, reboot and that should be it

I have no 2nd pc I have a phone but it's an iPhone am I screwed?

Should be fine. Just download the drivers on the iPhone and the transfer them to the PC.

Just tried it said Safari can't download this type of file or something like that..

I think he meant to try to download the drivers trough Chrome on your iPhone instead of Safari.

On your iPhone or iPad, go to Safari and open the file you are trying to download.

Tap on the Share button, which will bring up the Share sheet.

Select “Save to Dropbox.” ...

Now tap the Save button, or choose a different folder where to save the file, then tap Save.

once you have done plug into the pc and move the file over.

Or you can use your iphone as a hotspot through the USB connection. Just go to "personal hotspot" in the settings and keep that screen open while you plug in with USB.

 

EDIT: It looks like this does require having iTunes already installed on the computer. Can't really help you there.

Don't listen to these guys since you have an iPhone. You won't be able to download driver files from an iPhone. These guys must have Android phones.

 

1. To get drivers for your network adapter, use a friend's computer. Then copy that to your computer for updating.

 

2. Better solution, since you have Win 7, I would suggest installing Win 10 (just use your Win 7 key), especially if you are using an SSD on this computer. Win 10 is much smarter and can deal with the issues that may arise with Win 7 running SSD. SSD's do work in Win 7 but it's aging and things like not having the latest Intel SATA controller can lead to data loss in the near future if you run drives larger than 2TB. I bet Win 10 will have a generic driver that will get your network card up and running, at least enough so that you have internet access before it finds an even better driver for most of your hardware.
