My work machine is 4 years old and I am looking to upgrade. Currently running an AMD system and want to build the new one with Intel. Will be used for email, web browsing, word processing, occasional photo/video editing. I want the build to be mini ITX to fit under my desk easily. Trying to keep the budget down as low as possible w/out sacrificing too much performance. It takes my current system about 30-45 seconds to open Lightroom whereas my new home Intel machine will open it in about 5 seconds or less...wanting to duplicate that performance with the system below (home system is an ASUS Z170 Deluxe, Core i7 6700K, 16gb corsair vengeance 3200).  I already have a Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB SSD I will use as the boot drive and storage. Most mass storage will be held on our server.

Not found on PC partpicker is the Fractal Design Define Nano S, which is the case I will be using. Power supply is TBD...I'll be running the stock CPU cooler (unless of course that is an absolute no-no - please advise)

Does this system look ok? Any suggestions to improve for the same price point...? Is there anything out there where I can spend a fraction more and get way better performance?

Looks great to me, will the onboard graphics be enough for your photo/video editing though?

The only upgrade I could suggest would be to get the I7-6700 since video editing will take advantage of the additional threads. Otherwise a I5 will be plenty fast enough for everyday use. Maybe through in a small GPU, maybe the Rx 460 or 470 to help with the editing since those should be well under $200 when they release.

These aren't really necessary though, just options.

CPU: I5 4590 Motherboard: ASROCK H97 Pro4 Ram: XPG 16gb v2.0 4x4 kit  GPU: Gigabyte GTX 970 PSU: EVGA 550w Supernova G2 Storage: 128 gb Sandisk SSD + 525gb Mx300 SSD Cooling: Be Quiet! Shadow Rock LP Case: Zalman T2 Sound: Logitech Z506 5.1 Mouse: Razer Deathadder Chroma Keyboard: DBPower LED

Thanks for the suggestions and options. I believe the on-board graphics will be sufficient for the photo/video editing, it's all I have ever used before, perhaps I don't know what I am missing :) I can always upgrade later if I see fit. It's just so easy to get caught up in analysis paralysis when putting together a system...
