I was wondering if I should adjust my asus z170-a motherboard ez system tuning to Asus Optimal (High Performance). Is it recommended?

If you're not familiar with overclocking then sure, go ahead and give it a spin.  Keep an eye on the voltage that it sets for CPU and CPU cache, but other than that it should get you close.  You can even fine tune the overclock once it's done.

 

I personally don't use motherboard auto overclocks simply because manually overclocking is the best way to go.
