Hello!

I'm building a budget gaming PC and I need your help. Tried my best to get the best parts for the price and for everything to be working with other parts of the system. Would appreciate any help or better offers for any parts and a case. I have a fixed budget of 600 euros, so I cannot spend much more money on the parts, but I'll have some more budget for a case.

Thanks for the help!

That's way more expencive! I was thinking about that option too, but as I said I have a fixed budget...

So apparently RX 480 with 4gb of VRAM is not available in my country.

Edited by froggyman6000
Understood that the 4gb variant isn't an option.

i'd recommend an rx 480/r9 390 if you can afford it, or r9 380/380x if you can't. i'd also go with an intel i5, the fx 8320 isn't very good anymore.

here's what i'll pick:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i5-6400 2.7GHz Quad-Core Processor  (€185.54 @ Mindfactory) single core performance is much better then and AMD fx.
Motherboard: Asus H110M-K Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard  (€58.68 @ Amazon Deutschland)
Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory  (€32.99 @ Amazon Deutschland)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  (€51.66 @ Mindfactory)
Video Card: PowerColor Radeon R9 380 4GB PCS+ Video Card  (€178.91 @ Mindfactory) will perform better than the gtx 960 with more Vram.
Case: Xigmatek Aeos MicroATX Mid Tower Case  (€27.78 @ Amazon Deutschland)
Power Supply: XFX TS 550W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply  (€64.27 @ Mindfactory) an excellent seasonic made unit.
Total: €599.83
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

I'd get the rx 480, but it's not yet in my country and shops like amazon charge 40+ euros for shipping. But I might go with Sapphire r9 380x NITRO OC. IS it any better then gigabytes or asus models?

What about the capabilities of this system? Is it going to be good for playing games like No man's sky? (that's the game, why I'm probably building this pc at all)

It should handle the game just fine.

I might have to stick to my previous build, this one is actually a little over my budget, when checking the prices in the shop I'm going to buy it from.. What a shame tho

As long as it's an Intel Skylake, you're much better off with it than an aging AMD FX. And the intel won't run as hot so no need for an aftermarket cooler.

i3-6100 / 8GB RAM / R9 380 4GB

CPU: Intel Core i3-6100 3.7GHz Dual-Core Processor  (€120.26 @ Mindfactory)

Does mind factory send stuff to other countries? And what about if I used I5-6400? Should I buy an aftermarket cooler for it?

Idk about mindfactory but it's better to buy your parts all from one merchant, and Amazon seems to be more reliable. There's no need to replace the stock coolers for any non-K intel cpu.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i3-6100 3.7GHz Dual-Core Processor  (€120.89 @ Amazon Deutschland)
Motherboard: Asus H110M-A Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard  (€62.21 @ Amazon Deutschland)
Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory  (€32.99 @ Amazon Deutschland)
Storage: A-Data Premier SP550 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  (€63.90 @ Amazon Deutschland)

^I'd really prefer you get a 240GB SSD first and add an HDD later
Video Card: Asus Radeon R9 380 4GB Video Card  (€184.94 @ Amazon Deutschland)
Power Supply: SeaSonic S12II 620W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply  (€70.92 @ Amazon Deutschland)

^If you can find this or the S12II 520W cheaper in your country then go for that.
Total: €535.85

Case suggestion: Thermaltake Versa H22 (€35.17)

Compare the prices first. If it's a lot cheaper to buy them on amazon including shipping Vs buying them in your country then proceed.

If you plan on a i5-6400, there's no stable price on Amazon.de at the moment. Search through your local store, the price should be around €180-190 euro.

Amazon doesn't ship to Lithuania, or when it does its 40 euros. So I'm buying from a shop based in my country. Btw, have you got any MOBO suggestions if I go with i5-4460 or i5-6400? If yes, please let me know, cause this MOBO doesn't support these ones, cause they need LGA1151 socket and this one has LGA1150 :(

Which store in Lithuania are you ordering from? Stick with the Skylake cpu, so you can benefit from the faster DDR4's.

You can use PCpartpicker.com to pick out parts, it has automatic compatibility check so you don't mix cpu's with other sockets.

4460 is haswell

skylake = i3 6100, i5 6400, i5 6500, i5 6600, i5 6600k, i7 6700, i7 6700k

Skylake = every CPU starting with 6

The number in front suggests the current generation, the next ones will be i3 7xxx, etc ...

And I agree with Antisleep, use PCPartpicker as the website checks for any incompatibilities.

SSD: A-Data Premier SP550 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive or 240GB version

All links are Skytech.Lt, fortunately the graphics card is the only one overpriced but still not worth it to go for the 960.

Thank you very much! But I decided not to stick with i3 as it only has 2 cores and IMO 4 core processor might be better, as i'm probably not going to buy a new one for at least several years and looking for max performance with all the money I can spend. And i'm skipping SSD, gonna buy it later and make it the boot drive. Tho thank you very much for the effort!
