Air cooler upgrade for hyper 212

Go to solution Solved by i_build_nanosuits,

turned out the be quiet cooler was expensive and a bit big and overkill for what i want/need so i just ordered the Noctua NH-U12S which ended up costing 90$ on amazon with shipping and tax i hope it's good it certainly look like a ''higher-quality'' version of the hyper 212 reviews seems good so i'm happy.

https://www.amazon.ca/Noctua-NH-U12-Sockets-Heatpipe-Cooling/dp/B00C9EYVGY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1468583073&sr=8-1&keywords=Noctua%2FNH-U12S

So, i'm tired of my hyper 212 and i'm looking to upgrade it with something that would look a bit better, have better mounting hardware and would have slightly better temps if possible.

Budget is around 80$ CAD max.

I have two that i like here and i would like your opinions on them...which one is better? which one has better mounting hardware?

I don't care about the fan(s) i'll use my own and it will be in a push/pull config (2 fans)

Feel free to sugest anything else that you KNOW is good

So this one:

Or maybe this one?

Thanks guys!

EDIT: don't bother with water coolers...i already own one it's 240mm and i HATE it...it's in the closet right now.

The phantek seems to be a little older design, But it looks great.   Here's a review of it with a 2600K Link.

Sorry to kinda hijack the thread but how would you rate the 212? My AIO craped out on me and I'm thinking of making the switch. Thanks

The ShadowRock 2 is good: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/C7mLrH/be-quiet-cpu-cooler-bk013

If you want to spend a little less the Cryorig H7 is also good (if it's available in Canada)

It's alright it keeps my CPU at around 72c max i'm running 1.195v on the CPU core it's a 4770K @ 4.2ghz the fan that came with the cooler is obviously on the cheap side it will be decently quiet for a few months but i greatly recommend you get one or two good fans to slap on your cooler.

Mounting is usually ok but mine has something i don't know i can't really make it tight on the CPU i can always rotate it a bit fairly easily and this bugs me i dunno why but the temps are still fine with it. I just want something that would stand out a bit more and a bit higher quality, even though the 212 is still a fine CPU cooler.

cryorig is not available in canada tho :(

BUT...bequiet is...i think i'll just take out the big guns and order this one here...looks pretty legit:

i don't mind waiting a couple weeks for it. This one is good too right?
