I am building a PC soon and i have gotten to the point as to whether i should buy a GTX 950 now or run off the iGPU of the i5-6500 and save for a better card.

What is your opinion. or is there a better GPU that is around $225AUD

If you have the money now, I'd go for the new RX480, it's about $200. It's probably the best bang for your buck right now. If you don't mind the wait, you can save up for a higher end card at a later time, or in the future, buy another RX480. I've had just about zero problems (other than in The Division) running them in Crossfire.

If you're gaming, please wait till the GTX 1060 and it's drivers are out. Then compare it to the RX480 and choose.

His budget is 225$ aud...and the sad thing is Canadian and Australian money is the same compared to US dollar...but the rx 480 costs $329 here and it's $449 there...so it's clearly not a viable option for him. And since the 1060 will be ever more it's not even an option.

An r9 380 is about 250 aud thats probably your best bet for now.

The rx 480 is pricey now because of its great demand. After a month or two when demands fall, so will price. The 4gb model should stabilize around $usd 200.i recommend saving up for it as it would be so much better in the long run compared to an r9 380.
