As long as they're both the same generation, an i7 will ALWAYS be better. It would seem as though these are laptop CPUs though, so I would like at the other things that come with the laptop, such as graphics card, hard drive, display, etc.

I will most likely not respond to you in a thread unless you quote me.

$500 PC | $800 PC | $1000 PC | $1200 PC | $1500 PC | $2000 PC | $2500 PC | $3000 PC | $4000 PC

Spoiler

Damnit Carl (My portable POS):

Cooling: Not enough + an external laptop tray

Keyboard: The included one

Mouse: $4 Lenovo 3D Optical Mouse (not as bad as you (rightly) assumed)

Sound: The Skullcandy branding right under the power button should clue you in

Operating System: Windows 10 Home

Not correct - the laptop variants of the i7 come in 2 Core / 4 Thread or 4 Core / 8 Thread SKUs

The above i7 is a 2 Core / 4 Thread SKU and the i5 is a true 4 Core

In light of this, the i5 should be much, much quicker.

CPU - i7 6800k @ 4.2Ghz

Mobo - Asus X99-A-II

Ram - Corsair Vengeance LPX White 32GB @ 3200Mhz

Storage - Samsung SM961 256GB, Samsung 840 Pro 250GB & Sandisk Ultra II 256GB

Cooling - Corsair H110i (2x ML140 White LED)

PSU - RM850x

Case - Anidees Ai Crystal

Monitor - Acer XB270HU bprz @ 1440p / 144hz IPS

Sound - FiiO E10K & AKG K712 PROs

Peripherals - Razer Blackwidow TE & Corsiar Scimitar

Ah. I was thinking of the Desktop versions, where people can (mostly) count version numbers correctly. Thank you for correcting me.
