depends how creative you are.

i've kinda determined that those cooling pads generally are too expensive to be worth it.

 

you could (if you're daring enough) pop open your notebook and give it a good clean.

and if you have some creative talent, get some materials at a local hardware store, one or two fans, and assemble your own cooling pad. (usually ends up cheaper, and more form-fit for your laptop, you can even align the fans with the spots that need it most)

I just clean the notebook and aplly new thermal paste.

This idea to bluid my own cooling pad is very cool.
