Just to be clear, these are my PC specs:

-AMD FX6350 6 Core @ 3.7 GHz

-ASRock 970 Extreme4 Motherboard

-2x4GB 1866 MHz HyperX Fury RAM

-2GB GDDR5 MSI GTX 950

-1TB WD Blue HDD

So yesterday I bought home another kit of the 2x4GB 1866 HyperX Fury RAM modules and proceeded to install them into my PC so I would have another 8GB of RAM. I installed and booted up for the first time, no post. I switched the sticks around, it posted but there was a windows error. A blue screen telling me i needed to "repair" my pc using an installation media. I was given the error code: 0xc0000428. To be clear, these modules are te exact same spec as the current ones i have installed, just a different colour. Stress, frustrated and a little p*ssed at the fact i might have to re-install everything i own, i removed the modules and booted up the PC one more time for good luck. The PC booted just fine with the current modules and i went straight into Windows 10.

I had tested these new modules out on a system just an hour before with no problems what so ever so I am very confused about why this has happend as i paid a decent amount of money for the kit. I have yet to test them again, a day later in fear of the dreaded "blue screen" and needing to format my disk. Can someone help me? Is there a setting i need to change to allow my motherboard to run the ram? i have checked in the bios and the motherboard identified alll 4x4GB sticks at the exact same speed so i am very confused on what i happening.

Thanks alot, if you could get back ASAP as i could really do with this memory to help with multi-tasking as i can feel the PC slowing down each time i use it. Feel free to reply or message my steam: cr1spi3z with any guidance that you can provide :L

It can be one of your RAM slots on your motherboard that is bad.

Try with just one stick in the first slot on your motherboard. If it works, move it to the next slot. Then the third and then the fourth slot. If you have no issues, it may not be the motherboard. If you do have any issues with one of the slots, try to put 3 sticks into the 3 working slots on your motherboard and see if that works. If you have no issues, then it could be that one of the slots are bad.

A full diagnostic of both the motherboard slots and each RAM module is a good way to find out where the issue is located. Try to get access to another computer and try the RAM dims there and see if you have the same issues on that computer.

Good luck! :)

Check to make sure the new RAM works on its own in your PC.

Check to make sure the new RAM has the same timings and latency as the old RAM. Even though its the same make and size, some Hyper X modules have different timings.

As said above, check the new RAM  and the old RAM separately in each RAM slot on the motherboard.

i have no idea how to do the second part with the latency and timings. Also, if it were a problem with the DIMM slot wouldnt it come up? The BIOS detects all 4 sticks when they are plugged in at the same speed so i really cant seem get my head round whats wrong :L

Hmm.. the memory modules might be detected however they might not be functioning how they should. Have you tested each memory module on each socket, on their own and with the other modules? make sure you test this carefully as this is the best way to find out if there is a problem with the RAM modules/ the sockets.
