Need help

So the issue I ran into is actually concerns my motherboard. So I have an ASUS Maximus V extreme motherboard. So I installed all my components into the motherboard no problem. But then, I bought later on, an expansion for usb 2.0 and SD card reader. This uses a 2.0 connector and when I tried to connect it to the mother board, I had no room. There are only 2 connectors for 2.0 on this mother board and it is being used by the front usb 2.0 and my liquid cooling system( corsair H60). So my main question is, is there a way to add another usb connector so that i can implement my SD card reader into my system?

I think there are USB 3.0 to 2.0 adapters for your motherboard.  Look on Amazon or Newegg.

Well I have looked for those already. for the most part, all I see are 2.0 to 3.0, and some that are claiming to be 3.0 to 2.0 but in reality, are not.

Actually I found one on cablesonline.com. But do I have to to give up a 3.0 spot so that I can use a 2.0? Is there anything that I can buy like an expansion card with usb male connectors on them?

Yes on your motherboard you would have to give uo a 3.0 spot.  I think there are some external usb/sd card reader hubs that just use up an external usb port.  Just look around at Newegg or whatever tech distrubutor is near you.

Haha the price is not the issue. I just really didn't want to give up a 3.0 spot because i feel like other people probably have to same issue and wanted to see their options on how they resolved it. Like I also have a 3.0 expansion but now, because of this, I can't use it sadly.
