Does this come with cables? + Advice?

I recently ordered part for my computer build and in it i had an optical drive. i want to know if it comes with cables to hook it up to the motherboard. i have never installed one of these so please advice would be appreciated  heres my build: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/fZ6nnn

I've actually never bought a retail optical drive, but it just uses a sata connector, so you can use one of the extras that will come with your motherboard if need be.

SATA power cables will come with the PSU and SATA data cables will come with the motherboard. 

 

The Optical drive likely won't come with any cables. You may need to buy another SATA data cable if your board doesn't come with enough.

do you know if there will be a designated spot on the motherboard for the optical drive?

Nope, it will just be a normal SATA port.
