i have a r9 390 8gb version of msi but i want to know that my powerr suppy could power it or not it has a 6pin pcie connectors  and it is 650 watts and if not what is the least no. of pcie connectors are required to power it

You would need a 8 pin and a 6 pin to power the card and a 650W should work just fine.

What PSU is it? Not all 650W PSUs are created equal.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

we need to know more, more specifically, which model?

It's easy for a company to say it "my psu can handle 650w" but for how long? 1 minute? 1 second?! Will it fail when trying and might it pose a fire hazard??!?!?!

do i specifically need a 8+6 pin pcie connector can i run it on only on a single 6 pin connector or a single 8 pic connector..?

You will need a separate 8 and 6 pin (8 pin s usually a 6+2 pin).

What's the make of your power supply? That is more important that its wattage. A junk 1000W PSU would still take out your system.
