Hey I was wondering if anyone has any advice regarding pre-built PC's. I know most people will say that most are trash and the only way to go is building it yourself. However, this seems like a great price for the overall build. I will leave the link below. Should I get it or try and build one myself, I have never done so.

I beg you don't get that it is way overpriced. It would be cheaper to build one that would be better than that one

It certainly is about the same cost as buying those parts yourself. However, I would recommend a 6600k to OC, and at least a 250gb ssd. Also, a better case would be benificial.

It's not overpriced. I punched it into Pc part picker, and It was about the same.

Getting a pre-built is completely fine. But I would recommend that you got to the cyberpowerpc website and see if you can get that same build for a cheaper price or cut back on certain things. A lot of pc gamers scoff at people who buy pre builts, Building a pc is relativly easy but you could mess something up on the mother board like I did were i accidentally bent one of the usb 3.0 ports but luckily I had two ports. It's a pretty solid build. If you want it go for it. Go to cyberpowerpc and  build it and then add and take off what you do and don't want.

either way, to many people the 100-200$ difference is worth the hassle. I know people who would rather pay way more to buy a prebuilt over the hassle of building and configuring a computer. I personally would build every time, but prebuilt sure far from terrible.

How would it be better, what could I improve on if I were to build it myself for the same price?

http://pcpartpicker.com/list/vT2gLD this is 60$ less and it is way better. It doesn't come with a keyboard and mouse, but you can get them at your local store for probably 30$ that are the same quality as cyberpowerpc keyboards and mouses

Is what I'd do.  But, for about the same you can get more storage, and even a bluray drive.  Plus, the PSU I picked is probably better.

There's nothing wrong with pre-builts minus the fact that you're paying more for less.

Do not buy an aftermarket cooler with a locked proccessor, it's a complete waste of money.

Thats actually a really nice build thanks. But the only catch is I've never built a pc before or configured one. I don't really wanna screw anything up right?

You could replace the I7 with an I5 6600K, and save a good amount of money, The mother board comes with a booklet that tells you what to do and where to plug all the cables. If you are worried that you are going to mess something up while building the PC then get the pre built. Building a pc is a fun experience and it's actually harder than you think to mess something up while building a PC. Linus has a lot of guides on how to build many different types of PC's and so do many other tech channels on Youtube you can watch a few of those and get a good idea of what to do. I donn't know why it's saying I'm quoting you.
