Ancient PC Upgrade

I have a machine I'm considering upgrading. It's a Pentium 4 3ghz, 1gb ram, and it's got an 80gb hdd attached via an ide cable... The motherboard does have sata though. What should I upgrade? (I'm in Canada so Canadian prices would be nice. :-D) I'm happy to fill you in for any more info you might need.

its not really worth upgrading unless your just running some retro games or something

It's not for fun, they belong to a local non-profit and they want me to fix them up a bit.

you can go up to 4gb of dual channel RAM

as for CPU, the P4 is the max

any SATA drive will work, so find a nice, cheap 500gb model or somethings and go with that
