Headsets + 4pin Jack + pc

I have tried 3 different headsets, nothing fancy but 1 that came with the ps4, one that came with my galaxy s6 and my brothers high end one.
All of them installed a driver and was seen in the recording options of the sound department area as a microphone because I got 2 jacks a headset jack and a microphone jack. Anyways all of them didn't let anything I say go through. However I heard sound coming out of my speakers which was just noise. It got louder when I enabled the Stereo Mix setting but without it on it was either dead quiet or it was very softly making noise.

 

Also to note I did try to uninstall and reinstall the driver and tried to update it to. Also I troubleshooted it and that did pretty much nothing.

 

I am running a HP pro 3500 mt I think with 8gbs of ddr3 ram, i3 3220 3.3ghz and a gtx 650 ti boost. I am also running windows 10

if anyone has ideas on whats going on please help me.

I can't just use the mic area of it?

You can't because the pin position is different. The mic on the PC is on the tip position.
