I am running an ASUS Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 motherboard. I am looking to upgrade to a GTX 1070 ZOTAC AMP Extreme, as the PCI-E slots on this motherboard appear to be gen 2, will these older generation slots provide any performance degradation? Thanks.

Current build;

AMD FX8370

ASUS Sabertooth 990FX R2.0

Palit GTX 650Ti BOOST

If they are 16x pcie gen 2, that's like the same as 8x pcie gen 3, which it's widely accepted is just fine :)

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.
