So I work at Office Depot and we have a lot of shovelware puzzle/slot games on sale for $2 but among a few of them are some interesting titles. A few that I am considering are Jagged Alliance Crossfire and Back in Action, The First Templar, and Legends of Pegasus. From what I can see almost all of these have mixed reviews but I wanted to know if any of you have played any of these three games and would recommend them or not.

I have never heard of any of those game in my life. And I've seen/played a lot in my lifetime.

I'd just stick with your 8 bucks and get something on the steam sale better than all of those combined. Shovelware is icky.

Well I've played Jagged Alliance 2 before, it's an older tac shooter game which these are supposed to be sort of remakes I guess.

Jagged Alliance Crossfire ---> Looks like a strictly worse XCOM Enemy Unknown, or for that matter Doorkickers.

The First Templar ---> Worse Dragon Age, Inquisition

Legends of Pegasus ---> Try FTL instead

From what I see now, Legends of Pegasus is unanimously hated. And the others seem to be snubbed on Steam too. Oh well, thought I'd ask. xD

Eh, no harm no gain. If you feel like putting your few bucks into games like that go for it. If you haven't tried any of the games I mentioned instead of playing those, definately go do that instead. If you have the cash of course.

The ONLY game I have bought from that pile was Age of Mythology, which is obviously loved by strategy fans, and it doesn't run on Windows 10. Of course. lol

It doesn't? That's sad. I remember seeing and hearing about how good it was years ago. Although there were TV commercials for it... so I'm still skeptical.

Yeah, apparently there's a specific file system that is completely blocked by Win 10. It works on 7/8/8.1 but that file will absolutely not run on Win 10. No fix except for a VM.

Meh, doesn't seem that amazing for all the hassle anyways.
